About our Courses
The "Ground Up" Electricity Course
The comprehensive flagship course that we offer is the "Ground Up" Electrical Theory course, in which field technicians will learn electrical theory from the ground-up. It is specifically developed for aspiring and existing Appliance Repair Technicians. HVAC technicians can certainly benefit from it as well. It starts with electricity physics, works its way through Ohm's Law, covers basic circuit configurations and moves on to Electrical Power, Basic and Advanced Multimeter use, Reading Schematics, and Diagnostics. Diagnostics covers not only the basics, but abstracted variations of the Scientific Method that provide you with "brute-force" methods for powering through difficult diagnostic scenarios. In addition to these author developed techniques, you will learn time-saving tricks to further help you expedite your diagnostic process.
The Basic Electricity Course
The greatly toned-down version of the Ground-up course, is the "Basic Electricity Course", where you will learn only the fundamentals. This includes how voltage and current behave, Ohm's Law, Watts Law, Basic Multimeter Use, Reading Schematic Basics, and minimum Diagnostic Techniques.
Advanced Diagnostics and Tricks
The "Advanced Diagnostic and Tricks" Course assumes assumes prior knowledge of Ohm's and Watts Law, circuit configurations, safety, basic multimeter use, and basic diagnostics. It goes on to cover appliance topologies, schematic walkthroughs with voltage mapping and explanatory narrative, abstracted scientific method driven diagnostic techniques, and author developed time-saving tricks to help you finely hone your diagnostic prowess in the field.
